Catholic Education Tasmania have a few requirements for potential candidates of a teacher position:
- Be a qualified and registered Teacher in Tasmania, or be able to obtain registration prior to the commencement of the position.
- Be willing to work towards the successful attainment of Accreditation C: Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School.
- Have a valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
St Thomas Aquinas Teaching Schools Institute
The St Thomas Aquinas Teaching School provides aspiring teachers with a way to earn their Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching through innovative, hands-on Teacher Education.
Participants of the St Thomas Aquinas Teaching Schools Institute will receive weekly intensive teacher development sessions and weekly school placements as a paid cadet teacher working alongside a qualified mentor teacher.
