Every day, we put faith into action by offering care and compassion to Tasmanians in need. From our wide range of social services and support programs to a network of hospitals and aged care, we’re able to improve social and healthcare outcomes in our community.

As a part of the wider Catholic Mission in Tasmania, our organisations and carers support Tasmanian families in a values-based environment of compassion, hospitality and respect to improve the lives of those most vulnerable and strengthen community wellbeing.

COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR TASMANIANS

Every day across Tasmania, people experiencing disadvantage or who are in distress reach out to Catholic social services. They are welcomed, provided with food and shelter and access to services, supported to find meaningful employment and given hope for the future.

CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social service agency of the Catholic Church in Tasmania. It delivers a wide range of support programs for individuals, families and communities – regardless of their background, beliefs and circumstances.

Diverse programs including family, multicultural, domestic violence, counselling, early learning and care, and housing and homelessness services, and the provision of emergency relief assisted almost 11,850 clients in 2021.
